Someone also suggested that a Unification Hostel be open to people outside our movement as well. We would be openly a Unificationist hostel and welcome people of all faiths for dialogue and fellowship. Could be a great place to witness to people who are curious about us.
I would love your comments.
Thanks
Kyle

I cannot hold my joy deep inside my heart to hear about this proposal of visiting Korea to participate and help Rev. Hyung Jin Nim’s ministry, this is such a great idea! I am sure we are going to gain alot of spiritual growth and insight by experiencing witnessing in the Fatherland. I would suggest also to have cultural exchange through performing art and music for the evening program , or to organize international concert to attract people of all faith. The idea of setting up Unification hostel is ideal, it will be a great place for members and outside people to meet and mingle, not only ideal for witnessing, also enable us to know the local people through adventuring the beautiful sights of Korea. Looking forward to see this plan being carried out and thank you for all your hard work and love for the Fatherland.

Dear Pastor Toffey,This has been my whole live dream to come to fatherland S Korea. Moreto be with Hyung Jin’s ministry. It’s a life changing experience, Ilook forward to visit before 2013; I have to fundraise till I get themoney for visit (my orphans I will arrange for someone to feed them.www.kenyakids-help.com.Hyung Jin’s ministry has changed my life a lot. Always down to earthand very uplifting to any religion may it beChristian/Muslim/Buddhist/ etc.I always download all Hyung Jin’s Video/Audio/sermon using my wirelessmodem at 3 kbps and burn them in DVD’s or CD’s so that I candistribute them to members. I even photocopy the sermons so that allmembers get the sermon. In Africa/Kenya it’s very few members who have access to computer;-Internet is just a dream to many.About iUnificationist Youth Hostel -: from oct 14th 2009, we are innew Era of cosmic Era, hence new awakening altitude by HJN willpropel the world to new understanding of God + TP will. PresidentObama is 47 yrs old and a Kenyan like me, his slogan “yes we can” havechanged the world.-: iUnificationist Youth Hostel would be arevolutionary concert I imagine. I lived in carp centers in 80’s and Ibelieve iUnificationist Youth Hostel, would be a new beginning in thisnew Cosmic Era to awaken the youth. In 21st century youth are moremoved with changing activities like witnessing/sport/ more sense ofidentity. New moral system. They try drugs/sex/ etc because the worldand more parents don’t guide them on good ethical morals. In Kenya acountry while 10% of nation population are HIV positive, I see a darkfuture as majority affected by HIV are youth, future Kenya leaders-doctor/lawyers/Engineers ETCHyung Jin’s is very passionate and embracing to all members worldwide. It’s not like 1980s – 90’s when the leaders used to tell members inKenya/Africa –“I will kick you out”True many members were kicked out, but how could one be disconnect, (afallen man with fallen nature) from the messiah? the lord of secondcoming.God bless this new iUnificationist Youth Hostel, our youth may havehope for tomorrow- Future. I wish you heavenly strength, patience, wisdom and blessing for youractivities. Heartily greetingsMay God’s blessings be upon you May God be happy for this hour andETERNITY. -: now we are living with the 360 billion Absolute GoodSpirits, we are able to change.Simon N. kingoriFounder -: http://www.kenyakids-help.com

Hi Kyle (and Cynthia), its a good idea, needs a lot of thought, discussion & prayer to get it right. The principle that you should begin as you mean to continue means it needs some profound & far reaching vision.I can see that the attraction of working with Hyung Jin Nim’s & Yeon ah Nim’s ministry is central, but how to really develop the Temple project, it must be clear that respect for other faiths is essential. It cannot just be an evangelical campaign, but must embrace all people in the wider concerns of sexual purity, purity of lineage & pure love. I want to initiate a local project here in London called Marriage Blessing & Family Fortune Association & connect it to True Parents Blessing providence and I believe we can discover real Cain/Abel respect & co-operation on that basis.Good luck with the Hostel Idea, we may be over in May/June 2010, see you thenmartin

It’s a fantastic idea, definitely the way to go. SO many people would visit, and it’s best that the UC benefit from the income from members… then there could be controls on the behaviour of the people staying and it could offer some protection to 2nd gen visiting as well. All in all, a great idea. Please go ahead! We’ll support you and visit sometime!

The hostel idea is a perfect way for many of us that want to help directly but need to be able to plan in advance to arrange daycare, vacation from work and other life realities. I hope that this can materialize soon enough to start planning for next year.

dear Pastor Kyle,This a wonderful idea! Witnessing in the Fatherland is a profound experience. In 2003 Father asked us to come and witness 21 days in our registration area. I could be there witnessing in my area after 50 day WS in CP.. It was a moving and empowering experience. I returned to our mission country with great spiritual help, and positive developments enfolded here.It was a deep way to connect with True Parents’ heart, course, foundation, with God’s hope for His chosen people.. His dream for a home on the national level…This is a win-win..

I think it is a very good idea. Start small and don’t rely on church’s money. First even take people into your house or find Blessed families in Korea, who can do it. When the stream of people coming to Korea is already stable, go ahead and rent a facility. You already know it. You did it with family camp.Thank you. I think each Blessed family can initiate and accomplish something as Youth Hostel or even greater than that.We all must start an Adam’s business, which is Home church (only diffrence is how we accomplish it in our situation).I study Church Management in Cheongshim Graduate School of Theology. Here, I am preparing to restore and connect my hometown in Lithuania to God’s Providence. Youth Hostel is a great idea to connect the two, my hometown and the Fatherland.

I think that this is an excellent idea that will appeal to brothers and sisters, as it concerns the heart of our faith, and is one that I am sure everyone would suport. I t would enable many brothers and sisters to live a dream. I sincerely hope that it will become a substantial reality quickly.
